Joshua E Lane, MD, MBA, MPH

Dr. Joshua E Lane is a nationally recognized, award-winning dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon at Lane Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. He is a native of Macon, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee graduating magna cum laude with Honors in Biology. He attended Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, followed by a transitional internship (general surgery, plastic surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, OB/GYN) at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Dr. Lane completed his residency in dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Lane furthered his education with a one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic & Reconstructive Surgery under the tutelage of Dr. David Kent. He is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.

Dr. Lane also earned a Masters in Business Administration at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, a Masters of Homeland Security from Penn State University, a Masters of Public Health at American Military University, a Masters of Military Operational Art and Sciences (Joint Warfare Concentration) at the U.S. Air Force Air Command Staff College, and is currently working on a PhD in Counterterrorism, focusing on medical countermeasures to chemical, biological, radiologic, and nuclear weapons.

Dr. Joshua E Lane remains active in the academic community. He serves on clinical faculty at Emory University School of Medicine, the Medical College of Georgia, and Mercer University School of Medicine. He enjoys teaching medical students and residents about dermatology, dermatologic surgery, aesthetic dermatology, and Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery. He also enjoys lecturing on medical business topics at the School of Business at Columbus State University.

He has published over 150 medical and surgical publications in peer-reviewed journals, as well as multiple book chapters in surgical textbooks. In addition, Dr. Lane published his own surgical textbook entitled Pocket Guide for Cutaneous Medicine & Surgery (2 editions).

Dr. Lane is proud to serve in the United States Air Force Air National Guard as a flight surgeon at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is honored to be able serve his country.
